About the Team Our New Verticals team launched in 2020 with the purpose of delighting our customers and empowering local communities outside of just restaurants. Since then, we’ve launched Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, Retail, and DashMarts while also building merchant services, dasher tooling and consumer products. New Verticals is the growth engine of DoorDash’s business and we are continuing to build and scale new businesses everyday! Grocery is one of our highest priority, most complex verticals that is key to acquiring consumers to new verticals outside of just restaurants. About the Role We are hiring an Associate on our Grocery Merchant Strategy & Operations teams to drive growth in our enterprise grocery business. In this role, you will drive key initiatives supporting some of our largest merchants on the platform. This role will be highly dynamic, and a given day may include deep analysis of a customer journey, ideating and setting up a test for a new growth bet that you wish to productize, building a point of view on the financial viability of a new initiative or deal. You will partner closely with product, engineering, finance, analytics and sales / business development to bring these initiatives to life! The best operators today are rapidly generating new ideas, taking ownership over metrics and moving them in the right direction through building product visions, synthesizing complex analyses and testing every idea — all while leveraging AI to uplevel how we operate. Autonomy only works when merchants — restaurants, retailers, and other partners — can reliably interact with our robots: handing off orders, troubleshooting edge cases, and trusting the experience enough to keep using it. We're looking for a Merchant Success & Growth lead to build the strategy and operational mechanisms that get merchants onboard, keep them performing, and turn their day-to-day reality into a tight feedback loop for product and engineering. Build the playbooks and operational mechanisms to onboard merchants to autonomy — from first conversation through training, go-live, and steady-state ops — and scale them across markets. Partner with sales, account management, and field ops to recruit and ramp the right merchant cohorts for each stage of the product, and design experiments that test new merchant-facing features and handoff models. Define merchant performance benchmarks (handoff success rate, dwell time, dasher/robot interaction quality, merchant CSAT) and run the cadence that holds partners and internal teams accountable to them.
