Job description
OVERVIEW: The position of Desktop Publisher is a key player at TransPerfect and is responsible for all the DTP and localization of print-ready foreign language documents. The ideal candidate for this position is an individual who has strong production and computer skills that are balanced with experience in type, composition and document layout. DESCRIPTION: Desktop publish on Macintosh and PC platforms Coordinate projects with other departments Interchange languages between electronic files in multiple DTP formats and make foreign language documents look more visually exact to source language documents Be responsible for learning new DTP formats and procedures Develop a thorough understanding of leading, tracking, kerning and fonts Provide technical support as needed including but not limited to, file format problems, troubleshooting, scanning and image resolution Communicate any issues
