Our team, made up of YC alumni (S21) and elite product and software talent, builds some of the most advanced flexibility solutions in the market. Kapacity.io , previously backed by Y Combinator and acquired by EnergyHub in 2024, focuses on the European energy market, offering an energy management platform to energy companies, allowing them to connect residential heat pumps, EVs and batteries to a Virtual Power Plant. EnergyHub is the leading residential Virtual Power Plant provider in North America, with over 2.5 million connected residential devices. Virtual Power Plants (VPP) allow energy companies to adjust their customers’ power consumption to reduce grid congestion and benefit from price volatility. VPPs reduce the need for peak power generation, reducing investment needs and carbon emissions of the grid. About the team We, the Marketing Tech team, are looking for a passionate and driven Golang/Python Backend Software Engineer. We are a product-focused team that emphasizes enabling the scaling and efficiency of campaigns and marketing efforts both inside and outside of Wolt. The MarTech team is currently building internal services around marketing and consent use-cases to allow our marketing stakeholders to drive marketing campaigns in and out of the app, and ensure we provide and maintain a compliant experience throughout the whole process. We empower marketing with the tools to fully set up and run their campaigns independently so as not to be blocked by product or engineering. In our team, you can expect to face many different types of projects across the realm of acquiring users and keeping them engaged. You’ll work on both maintaining and expanding existing services, as well as planning and designing new ones. Who We Are Global Marts builds the technology behind DoorDash's own grocery and retail operations across DashMart, Wolt Market, and Deliveroo Hop. Our systems decide what products our stores stock, how much inventory to purchase, which vendors to source from, how warehouses execute orders, and what prices customers see. We build everything from forecasting and replenishment systems to vendor management, warehouse execution, labor scheduling, space optimization, and pricing. Our in-house forecasting platform has replaced third-party solutions and now powers production globally. This isn't a traditional CRUD backend environment. Much of our work involves designing new systems that solve complex operational problems at global scale.
