Job description
Title: Swim Aid Position Type: Non-Exempt (Hourly) Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Aquatics Director, this position is responsible for assisting certified YSL Aquatic Instructors during lessons. This position will work only under the supervision of a YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: Assist aquatics instructors during swim classes. Be prepared for class. Have all equipment available and ready prior to swim class. Assist in putting away all equipment after swim classes. Maintain a professional image and manner consistent with the YMCA mission and goals at all times. Ensure a clean and safe pool environment at all times. Engage in active listening with members in order to build relationships, understand each individual’s goals and interests and take the initiative to assist in the achievement of those goals.
