About Hark Hark is an artificial intelligence company building advanced, personalized intelligence. One that is proactive, multimodal, and capable of interacting with the world through speech, text, vision, and persistent memory. We're pairing that intelligence with next-generation hardware to create a universal interface between humans and machines. While today's AI largely operates through chat boxes and decade-old devices, Hark is focused on what comes next: agentic systems that interact naturally with people and the real world. To get there, we're developing multimodal models and next-generation AI hardware together - designed from the ground up as a single, unified interface for a new era of intelligent systems. About the Role We're looking for an experienced Audio DSP Deployment Engineer to own how our audio algorithms work on device. Our algorithm team prototypes and validates new audio processing on the desktop in MaxMSP, JUCE, Python, and MATLAB, but the on-device implementation is its own design problem: what runs where, at what precision, in what block size, and within what compute, memory, and latency budget. You will own that design, reworking and extending algorithms so they hold up in real time on the embedded DSP cores inside our products, tuning them against real hardware and real acoustics, and carrying them through to a shipping feature. This is hands-on work close to silicon with genuine ownership of the on-device audio chain, and direct influence on how the product sounds and listens. Responsibilities Own the on-device design of the audio algorithm chain: what runs where, at what precision and block size, and within what compute, memory, and latency budget Take algorithms from desktop prototype in MaxMSP, JUCE, Python, and MATLAB to production C/C++ running in real time on the embedded DSP cores, re-architecting them where the target demands it rather than transcribing them Develop, tune, and extend algorithms directly on device, and propo

You will lead the structuring and negotiation of some of Hark's most important commercial relationships, with a particular focus on wireless carriers, device distribution, retail and channel partnerships, connectivity arrangements, and the commercialization of Hark's consumer hardware products. This is not a traditional commercial counsel role. You will work at the intersection of consumer hardware, artificial intelligence, telecommunications, and global distribution as Hark creates an entirely new product category. You should be comfortable negotiating sophisticated transactions where the commercial model may not yet have an established precedent. You will be expected not simply to identify risk, but to develop practical structures that allow Hark to move quickly while protecting its long-term strategic interests. About the Team OpenAI is building the world’s most advanced AI infrastructure ecosystem. The Site Readiness & Development team owns the upstream diligence and development work required to convert powered-land opportunities into executable infrastructure options. About the Role The Development Lead owns the development path after a site clears initial screening. This role validates the viable power pathway, turns site constraints into a building-level deployment plan that makes clear when each building can deploy, and runs the phase-by-phase action list that closes the decisions, dependencies, and evidence gaps needed to make a site controllable and executable. Key Responsibilities Own the stage-gate path from exclusivity and commercial terms through desktop diligence, confirmatory diligence, site closing, and handoff into design, construction, and operations. Validate power pathways with Power and utility partners, including service options, interconnection and delivery sequencing, readiness assumptions, schedule exposure, cost implications, and decision points. Turn each development phase into a disciplined action list with owners, deadlines, closure criteria, open evidence, and escalation paths; drive the list to closure rather than simply reporting status. Translate power, land, civil, environmental, access, entitlement, and permitting constraints into a building-level deployment plan with clear sequencing and target deployment timing for each building. Coordinate site access, exclusivity, LOI, commercial terms, financing assumptions, and closing requirements with Commercial, Legal, Finance, Power, Land, and other partner teams. Define the desktop diligence scope, expected 15–30 day deliverables, and go / no-go criteria; then govern the 90–120 day confirmatory diligence plan.
