ABOUT THE ROLE: We are seeking exceptional Electrical Engineers to join our growing team in Memphis and help design, build, and optimize the power infrastructure for SpaceXSI's high-density AI supercomputing facilities. This is a broad Electrical Engineer requisition covering three critical focus areas: Battery Storage Electrical Engineering (BESS, PCS, integration, controls) Power Transmission Electrical Engineering (high-voltage lines, substations, grid interconnection) Power Generation Electrical Engineering (on-site gas turbine generators, synchronization, protection) You will work on one or more of these areas depending on your expertise and business needs, collaborating across electrical, mechanical, power systems, and construction teams to deliver reliable, massive-scale power solutions. ABOUT THE ROLE: Join the High Power Engineering team supporting SpaceXSI to design, build, operate, and maintain electrical infrastructure for AI training campuses. As a Power System Engineer on the Transmission & Distribution team, you will work with a small on-site team to scale high-capacity power systems on a schedule set by compute demand. The position is based in Memphis, TN, with potential travel to other sites. RESPONSIBILITIES: Own the single model of record for the Memphis campus: load flow, short circuit, coordination, arc flash, motor starting, harmonics, transient stability, and EMT studies for grid-forming inverter interaction with generation. Create and maintain sitewide power budgets, monitoring, and metering for mission-critical assets to optimize visibility and efficiency. Perform detailed analysis on electrical power systems: one-lines, three-lines, studies that justify relay settings, and as-built model updates after commissioning. ABOUT THE ROLE: Determine true root cause of fleet hardware failures — component and system level — and drive fixes through vendors to the manufacturer. Turn "swap it again" into "vendor redesign / firmware fix / manufacturing escape found." RESPONSIBILITIES: Own named failure classes across GPU trays/baseboards, NIC/DPU, motherboard/PCIe switch, memory, power, thermal, cables/connectors, and rack-scale patterns. Run recurrence analysis and fleet-wide defect clustering; detect systemic patterns before they become fleet-scale loss. Build vendor technical escalation packages with evidence quality that forces action; partner with OEM/ODM/component manufacturers on firmware, bring-up, and manufacturing escapes through committed CAPA. Feed findings into RMA policy, spare strategy, and "do not reseat forever" stop-rules.
