About the Team Our ambition for DashMart Fulfillment Services (DFS) is to power the best grocery experience, letting customers shop their full list 24/7 from their favorite merchant, with error-free same-day delivery at in-store prices. Carrying the right items across an extensive merchant selection is foundational to our infrastructure and consumer offering. This team owns both of those inputs end to end ensuring that we choose the right items, they arrive in the right quantities and on time and are fully in sync with our warehouse operations to make them available to consumers. About the Role We're looking to bring on a few Senior Managers with strong operational and analytical backgrounds that can tackle our most critical and ambiguous problems and build durable solutions at scale that will empower the long-term success of DFS. These roles require a holistic understanding of how we think through merchant selection & partnerships to how we build our fulfillment model. These aren’t insights roles - you will be expected to own root cause diagnostics, how to test operationally, and how to scale initiatives through productized solutions in partnership with product, engineering and local operations. One role will focus on merchant selection and one roles will focus on inventory health - both are critical to the end to end success of a DFS partnership. A few of the problems you might own: Merchant Selection. Identify where to play and how to win from knowing what merchants our customers want, to where we should launch those as a test and determine what success looks like to scale. In-Stock. Own availability across forecasting, replenishment, receiving and labor planning. Find the binding constraint and decide what service level is worth paying for, by category. Catalog. The catalog is the promise we make before the order. Every error shows up later as a missing item, a wrong order or lost margin. Shrink. Shrink is the cost of the in-stock promise. Separate what ops

About the Team New Verticals launched in 2020 to take the DoorDash marketplace beyond restaurants: it now spans 100,000+ grocery, convenience, alcohol, retail, and DashMart stores across the US and Canada. This team focuses on building our Canadian marketplace to ensure we are able to deliver exactly what consumers are looking for when they want it, with speed and quality. About the Role We are hiring a few Senior Associates on our Canada New Verticals Strategy & Operations. One role will focus on improving how we partner with our Dashers and driving efficiencies to how they operate. The second role will focus on driving quality improvements to our platform that enhances the shopping experience resulting in higher consumer spend. Both roles will require you to understand marketplace data and constraints to strategize actionable plans to improve efficiency levers impacting things like in-store navigation, in-app experience, dasher pay, pricing & promotions and so much more! These roles require you to understand our three-sided marketplace and the unit economics that impact our financial success all while balancing growth, cost and quality. You’ll need to weigh both sides of that tradeoff in every lever you pull. These roles sit at the intersection of strategy, operations, and product. The best operators today are rapidly generating new ideas, taking ownership over metrics and moving them in the right direction through building product visions, synthesizing complex analyses and testing every idea — all while leveraging AI to uplevel how we operate. We expect this person to stay at the forefront of how AI is reshaping the work, actively exploring new tools, automating repetitive workflows, and finding ways to do in hours what used to take weeks. About the Team DoorDash is building the next generation of causal decisioning systems for New Verticals: grocery, convenience, retail, alcohol, pets, flowers, and other emerging categories. These businesses operate in high-dimensional, dynamic marketplaces where every consumer, merchant, item, promotion, substitution, search result, and delivery promise creates a causal question. We are hiring a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to lead the Causal ML pod and establish the technical foundation for company-level causal decisioning. This is a senior technical leadership role for a practitioner who has built consequential causal systems in production and can turn ambiguous business questions into a coherent measurement and decision platform. A central mandate is to define and build a durable company-level causal value metric: a trusted, long-term signal that estimates the incremental value created by product, growth, and marketplace actions. The metric will connect experiments, observational evidence, and production ML so leaders and product teams can compare investments on a common basis while protecting customer experience and marketplace health. About the Role You will set the multi-year technical direction for causal ML, lead the pod’s portfolio and operating model, and remain close to the hardest modeling and systems work. You will be accountable for both scientific credibility and production impact. You’re excited about this opportunity because you will… Lead the Causal ML pod across technical strategy, architecture, execution, and quality. Create a roadmap that joins foundational platform work with high-value product applications. Define the company-level causal value metric and its measurement framework, including the target construct, time horizon, component outcomes, identification strategy, calibration, uncertainty, and guardrails. Build the metric into a decision system that teams can use for product prioritization, experiment readouts, intervention select

About the Team The New Verticals team is redefining local commerce by expanding DoorDash beyond restaurants into Grocery, Convenience, Liquor, Retail, Flowers, and more. We build meaningful partnerships with standout local and regional merchants, helping them grow and meet customers where they are. Stationed regionally, we move fast, think creatively, and lead the charge in developing new categories across the U.S. Together, we’re shaping a platform that gives consumers access to more of what they need, when they need it. This is a field sales opportunity based out of the cities specified above. You will need to live in or in proximity to the cities listed. About the Role As a Regional Merchant Lead (Outside Sales Representative) , you will own the full sales cycle for bringing new non-restaurant partners onto DoorDash. This is a fast-paced, high velocity role where you will prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close deals in our emerging categories such as grocery, convenience, alcohol, and retail. Merchant selection is central to DoorDash’s growth – each high-quality partner we onboard strengthens our marketplace, accelerates customer acquisition, deepens retention, and unlocks meaningful revenue across our fastest-growing categories. You will meet with restaurant owners – walking into businesses, running pitches, and building strong local relationships – while introducing them to DoorDash’s suite of offerings, negotiating revenue share agreements, selling multi-product solutions, and helping them understand how partnering with DoorDash will grow their business. On New Verticals, change is the norm – and our best Regional Merchant Leads turn constant change into an advantage. You’ll operate with autonomy, bring structure to emerging opportunities, contribute to strategic initiatives, support rollouts, and iterate quickly as categories evolve. After years of building an innovative POS platform for restaurateurs, Toast is expanding into new food and beverage concepts: convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops. The Toast Retail platform is already winning with independent operators. Now we are moving upmarket, and this is one of the key sales roles that proves the commercial motion as we pursue increasingly complex retail accounts. Role Overview As a founding Mid Market Account Executive for Toast Retail, you will source and close multi-location retail deals with a focus on grocery, liquor, and convenience operators. These are complex accounts with real buying committees, layered compliance requirements, deep inventory and SKU demands, and incumbent systems that took years to entrench. Winning them requires a sales motion that does not fully exist at Toast Retail yet. You will help build it, one deal at a time. This is not a role for someone who wants to inherit a finished playbook. Some proof points exist from our SMB business, leadership is investing, and there is a set of open questions that closers in the field have to go answer. What does discovery look like when the buyer is a VP of Operations and not an owner? Which SMB motions translate upmarket and which have to be rebuilt? What do we need from Product to be credible in a 40 store grocery chain? You will form hypotheses, test them in live deals, and feed what works back so the next AEs can run it. You will report to the Manager, Mid Market Sales, Toast Retail. This is a remote opportunity with travel expectations of 30% or more, including store walks and on site visits. A day in the life (Responsibilities) Pipeline and prospecting: Build a qualified pipeline of multi-location grocery, liquor, and convenience operators through category research, cold calling, networking, and close partnership with our SMB Retail teams to identify accounts ready to move upmarket. Retail centric discovery: Run disciplined discovery against buying committees
