Vanta
📍 USAFull-timeRemote$109.1K – $217.1K/yr · Jobiba est.

At Vanta, our mission is to help businesses earn and prove trust. We believe that security should be monitored and verified continuously, and we empower companies to practice better security and prove it with ease. Vanta has a kind and talented team, and while some have prior security experience, many have been successful at Vanta without it. Vanta's Product Marketing team sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success. We define positioning and narrative for Vanta's platform, translate roadmap into go-to-market motions across big launch moments and releases, and make sure the field can sell what Product is building; with research, storytelling, and cross-functional partnership as the core of how we work. About the role AI is one of Vanta's most strategic bets, and it needs a dedicated owner. This PMM will be focused on bringing the AI roadmap to market in close partnership with EPD. You'll own the narrative, messaging, and positioning for Vanta’s AI story end-to-end, and be the connective tissue between what Engineering and Product are building and how the market, field, and customers understand it. You're expected to shape our AI story and define Vanta as a leader in the space, which means you’re fast-moving and nimble, have enough technical fluency to have a real point of view in roadmap conversations with EPD (including getting hands-on and testing the product yourself), paired with the storytelling and creativity to bring a unique, differentiated story to market. What you’ll do as a Product Marketing Manager at Vanta: Own the AI pillar narrative and roadmap end to end Own the AI pillar narrative at key events like VantaCon, including keynote support, breakout sessions, and customer testimonials Ensure a cohesive AI narrative across pillars so AI messaging holds together whether it's showing up in Compliance, Risk, or Proof contexts Partner directly with EPD to understand what's being built, influence roadmap sequencing from a market/customer lens, and translate technical capability into external-ready narrative Develop and maintain AI messaging and positioning that flexes across audiences (field, analysts, press, customers) Drive field enablement for AI, arming Sales and CS with the story, objection handling, and proof points they need Plan and execute AI product launches, from planning through post-launch measurement Represent the AI narrative in customer-facing and market-facing moments (analyst briefings, customer advisory conversations, press as needed) How to be successful in this role: Core PMM experience 7+ years in product marketing, ideally with ownership of a full pillar or product line rather than a support function Track record of building narrative and positioning from scratch, not just executing an existing playbook Experience partnering directly with Product/Engineering leadership Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Plan and execute large product launches (including partnership with comms to align on product narrative), report back on performance, and optimize our launch processes for scale Define and manage go-to-market (GTM) strategy for Vanta’s security products, including messaging, positioning, launch planning, GTM enablement content (sales, customer success), and customer adoption Strong written and verbal storytelling, comfortable writing for a keynote stage as well as a sales deck Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer sponsorship Technical / AI fluency Working understanding of how modern AI products are built, enough to ask sharp questions in an EPD roadmap review and push back credibly Familiarity with the current AI/LLM landscape (model capabilities, common architecture patterns, where the industry conversation is headed) so positioning reflects real technical nuance rather than surface-level buzzwords Comfort translating technical capability and constraints into narrative that's accurate and compelling without over-claiming what the product does Prior experience marketing an AI-native or AI-adjacent product is a strong plus Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact. Bonus points Experience with security or technical products Experience owning a keynote-level narrative for a company event Background that spans both technical and brand/narrative work (e.g., came from a technical PM, solutions engineering, or technical writing background before moving into PMM) What you can expect as a Vanta’n: Industry-competitive salary and equity Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, with 100% of employee-only benefit premiums covered for most medical plans 16 weeks paid Parental Leave for all new parents Health & wellness stipend Remote workspace, internet, and cellphone stipend Commuter benefits for team members who report to the SF and NYC office Family planning benefits Matching 401(k) contribution with immediate vesting Flexible PTO policy, plus 80 hours of Sick Time 11 company-paid holidays Virtual team building activities, lunch and learns, and other company-wide events! Offices in SF, NYC, London, Dublin, Tel Aviv, and Sydney To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors and may vary based on candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. #LI-remote At Vanta, we are committed to hiring diverse talent of different backgrounds and as such, it is important to us to provide an inclusive work environment for all. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, gender identity, age, religion, sexual orientation, veteran or disability status, or any other protected class. As an equal opportunity employer, we encourage and welcome people of all backgrounds to apply. About Vanta We started in 2018, in the wake of several high-profile data breaches. Online security was only becoming more important, but we knew firsthand how hard it could be for fast-growing companies to invest the time and manpower it takes to build a solid security foundation. Vanta was inspired by a vision to restore trust in internet businesses by enabling companies to improve and prove their security. From our early days automating security monitoring for compliance standards like SOC 2, HIPAA and ISO 27001 to creating the world's leading Trust Management Platform, our vision remains unchanged. Now more than ever, making security continuous—not just a point-in-time check— is essential. Thousands of companies rely on Vanta to build, maintain and demonstrate their trust— all in a way that's real-time and transparent. This is a growing function, so the team needs people who can both raise the quality of the work and build the operating model around it: bringing strong judgment, high agency, and trusted partnership to complex, visible moments. About the Role Developers and founders are building some of the most interesting things happening in AI. They’re starting companies, creating new products, and changing how people work. We’re looking for an integrated marketing manager who understands this audience and can shape how OpenAI shows up for developers, founders, startups, and engineering teams. That includes supporting campaigns around new products, creating meaningful developer experiences, and finding compelling ways to highlight the people and companies building with our technology. You’ll partner across Product, Product Marketing, Developer Relations, Research, Brand, and Creative, along with external agencies and partners, to develop strategies and bring strong ideas to market. The right person understands technology, has good creative judgment, and knows how to turn audience insight into work that feels useful, credible, and worth paying attention to. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, with three days a week in the office. In this role, you will: Support marketing strategies for developers, founders, startups, and engineering teams building with OpenAI, based on how technical audiences discover tools, evaluate them, and decide what to use. Partner with creative, media, and production agencies to develop briefs, evaluate concepts, improve the work, and bring campaigns to market. Establish agency relationships, campaign budgets, media planning, and paid media investments. Manage integrated campaigns across product launches, developer events, startup initiatives, community programs, and other opportunities to reach builders. Help shape campaign positioning, creative concepts, storytelling, and channel strategy. Bring your own judgment to the work and push for ideas that will actually resonate with developers. Identify compelling developers, founders, and companies building with OpenAI and find thoughtful ways to tell their stories. Measure what’s working across awareness, engagement, consideration, product adoption, and relevant business outcomes, then use those insights to improve future campaigns. You might thrive in this role if you: Have ~ 10+ years of experience in developer marketing, integrated brand marketing, creative or media agencies, product marketing, and/or a related technology marketing role. We care more about the scope, quality, and complexity of your work than an exact number of years. Love technology, follow what developers and founders are building, and actively explore new AI products and tools. You are curious about APIs, models, developer tools, and technical products, and can ask informed questions without oversimplifying. Can earn credibility with engineers, product leaders, developer relations teams, and technical marketers, while also translating technical ideas into campaigns that broader founder, startups, and business audiences can understand. Bring strong brand, media, visual, and creative judgment; have experience selecting and managing agencies, shaping campaign briefs, and delivering distinctive integrated work. Combine analytical thinking, hands-on execution, strong relationships, and original ideas that make the work better for the people around you. You are high-agency, comfortable with ambiguity, able to push back constructively, and trusted as a strategic partner rather than only an execution owner. This is a growing function, so the team needs people who can both raise the quality of the work and build the operating model around it: bringing strong judgment, high agency, and trusted partnership to complex, visible moments. About the Role OpenAI business launches move quickly and often involve new products, model capabilities, or research that can change how businesses operate. We’re looking for an integrated marketing manager to help shape those launches from early strategy through execution. You’ll develop a point of view on the audience, positioning, creative direction, and channels, and help turn complex product and research advances into campaigns that connect with customers. You’ll partner across Product, Product Marketing, Research, Brand, Creative, Communications, Growth, and Sales, along with external agencies. The right person understands technology, has strong strategic and creative instincts, and knows how to bring together the right people and ideas to produce work that is clear, credible, and effective. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, with three days a week in the office. In this role, you will: Develop integrated marketing strategies for business product launches, new capabilities, model releases, and research moments. Partner with Product, Product Marketing, and Research to understand what’s changing, identify the right audiences, and shape positioning and launch narratives. Lead campaigns that bring launches to life across creative, communications, customer marketing, developer marketing, growth, sales, and paid, owned, and earned channels. Identify customer stories, product demonstrations, and creative concepts that make technical capabilities tangible and relevant to business audiences. Work with creative, media, and production agencies to develop briefs, evaluate ideas, and deliver strong campaigns. Connect launch strategies to the needs of customers, sales teams, and partners, making sure the work supports both immediate announcements and longer-term adoption. Manage campaign budgets, agency relationships, and media investments where appropriate. You might thrive in this role if you: Have ~10+ years of experience in B2B product marketing, integrated marketing, launches, and/or a related technology go-to-market role. We care more about the scope, quality, and complexity of your work than an exact number of years. Have launched enterprise software, AI products, cloud services, developer tools, or other technically sophisticated offerings, especially in fast moving or ambiguous environments. Understand product positioning and can work closely with Product and PMM leaders as a thoughtful, credible partner. Bring strong ideas, build relationships easily, and know how to partner with internal creative teams or external agencies to improve the work, not just coordinate it. Pair creative judgment and customer empathy with analytical thinking, operational rigor, and hands-on execution. You can sort through a high volume of information, make sound recommendations, and keep complex launch work moving across many stakeholders.
