ABOUT BASETEN Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F , led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products. ABOUT BASE LABS Base Labs is a research lab pushing the frontier of open-source LLMs. We think intelligence should be democratized, not controlled by a handful of closed labs and we think very few teams are actually positioned to do something about that. Backed by Baseten's training and inference infrastructure, we have the compute, resources, and talent to take on hard problems at the frontier and open-source what we learn along the way. Our mission is to help build a world where intelligence isn't concentrated, but spread across an ecosystem of models that anyone can build on. That mission shapes what we choose to work on, how we work on it, and who we want in the room. We are accepting applications on a rolling basis for our first cohort of Base Labs Fellows, which is expected to start in late September. Apply using this link. BASE LABS FELLOWSHIP OVERVIEW The Base Labs Fellowship is designed to give researchers exposure to what frontier research looks like in industry. We provide funding, mentorship, and full support to our fellows, with the goal of producing rigorous, published research that shapes both the open-source ecosystem and Baseten's technical roadmap. We run multiple cohorts of Fellows each year and review applications on a rolling basis. This application is for cohorts starting in Sept 2026 and beyond. Drata
📍 San Francisco• Full-time• $192K – $259.8K/yr
4mo ago

Drata is building the trust layer between great companies - automating compliance, managing risk, and helping organizations prove trust continuously as they scale. We're Dratanauts: a global crew of 600+ professionals united by a culture that rewards integrity, ownership, and raising the bar, no matter where in the world we're working from. Why Join the Drata Team? At Drata, you're not maintaining legacy compliance software - you're building the agentic AI platform defining what trust looks like for the next generation of companies. Here's what makes the work itself worth showing up for: Problems without a playbook: You'll work at the edge of AI and security, building agentic governance, continuous compliance, and real-time trust verification to solve problems that don't have an established answer yet. You're writing it as you go. Real ownership, not just process: Our values center on owning outcomes and raising the bar, not checking boxes. You're expected to have opinions and back them. A seat at the table: Your perspective is unique and valued. Open debate and diverse viewpoints are built into how decisions actually get made here, at every level. Growth at rocketship speed: Drata is scaling fast, which means scope grows fast too. High performers get more ownership, visibility, and experience. A crew, not just coworkers: Dratanauts consistently describe a "come as you are" culture with sharp, curious people—the kind of team that makes hard problems genuinely fun to solve. See what they say here and follow us on LinkedIn for company news, employee stories, and career updates. Job Summary: Drata's AI Platform team builds the production infrastructure that powers AI features across our compliance platform — from MCP servers that make Drata's data available to AI agents, to LLM workflow orchestration that automates SOC 2, TPRM, and policy analysis. You'll own the systems that sit between our AI models and our customers: tool definitions that agents actually understand,

The role Scale builds enterprise AI systems deployed into production. As a Staff Solutions Architect, you lead technical execution on the most complex and highest-value enterprise opportunities in your vertical, and you set the technical standard the rest of the team works to. You own an assigned set of strategic accounts and remain the senior technical relationship owner across them. You are also accountable for leverage beyond your own deals: the reference architectures, evaluation methodologies, and technical processes you build are adopted by other Solutions Architects, and the patterns you surface shape Scale's product direction. You work alongside the Account Executive (commercial owner), the Project Manager (delivery owner), and the Tech Lead (engineering lead for implementation). This is an individual contributor role with mentorship responsibility, not a people-management role. What you will own Most complex opportunities. Lead technical strategy and execution on the largest and most complex deals in your vertical, measured by revenue, product scope, or data volume. Act as the final technical authority on whether Scale can deliver what is being proposed. Technical discovery and qualification at scale. Own qualification on ambiguous, multi-stakeholder opportunities where requirements are unresolved. Make and defend go/no-go and disqualification recommendations on deals with significant revenue attached. Evaluation methodology for the vertical. Define how Scale measures quality for the use-case classes in your vertical, including evaluation datasets, baselines, quality dimensions, and acceptance criteria that hold up under customer and regulatory scrutiny. Establish approaches other Solutions Architects reuse rather than rebuild. Executive technical relationships. Modal
📍 New York• Full-time• $220K – $300K/yr
9mo ago

About Us: AI needs a new infrastructure layer. We're building it at Modal. Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now. Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp , Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale. We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation. Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g., Seaborn , Luigi ), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience. The Role: At Modal, we sell cloud services atop which our customers run their critical production systems. As a rapidly growing new cloud infrastructure company, we seek to improve our reliability dramatically while scaling the size of our platform, customer base, and our team. This role is for people who are deep systems thinkers, love stacking nines, and thrive from making others move faster at scale. Responsibilities include: Identifying architectural changes to improve reliability and performance. Fostering a culture of reliability across Modal’s engineering organization. Defining and implementing operational processes such as deployments, upgrades, etc. Operating systems like Kubernetes, Postgres, Redis, etc. Participating in on-call rotations, and responding to production incidents.
