Apply to be the newest Snorkeler! About the role Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, the DaaS Finance Manager is a critical member of the Finance org and a dedicated finance partner to the DaaS business as we scale. You will drive the financial insights that lead to better decisions: what we charge, what it costs to deliver, how much we need to deliver, and how it all rolls into revenue and ARR. The job is not just reporting numbers, but telling leadership what they mean and what to do about them. You will partner closely with the operating teams (Sales, Delivery Ops and RevOps) and bring finance rigor to how we work: clear assumptions, consistent definitions, and models people trust. Success is measured by outcomes, not outputs: deals priced to target margin, staffing plans that match demand, and a forecast leadership has confidence in. Key responsibilities The work falls into three pillars, with the mix shifting through the quarter. 1. Revenue model and forecast (with RevOps) Maintain the DaaS revenue model: bookings, acceptance-based revenue and ARR by deal, with scenario cases for planning. Partner with RevOps on the weekly revenue and ARR forecast, and run the weekly forecast deck and summary for leadership. Reconcile the field's call (commit, forecast, best case) with a deal-by-deal finance view; quantify coverage, swing deals and risks. Track delivery pacing and acceptance against plan and identify execution risks. Build bridges and variance analysis (forecast vs actual,
Senior Analytics Engineer The Data Science & Analytics team at Asana is how the company turns data into decisions — defining the questions that matter, surfacing the answers, and making sure insight is at the center of every critical product and business call . As a Senior Analytical Engineer, you sit at the intersection of Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science, and you own the data foundations for a business domain end to end. Your mandate is to turn raw data into reliable, business-ready datasets that PMs, analysts, data scientists, and leaders actually trust and use — and to define the business logic and metric standards that make AI-powered self-serve trustworthy. You consume governed Silver tables and produce the Gold layer and semantic layer beneath Asana's most important metrics, dashboards, and Genie spaces. This role is based in our Vancouver office with an office-centric hybrid schedule . The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday . Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays . Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do, and your recruiter can share more about the in-office requirements . What you’ll achieve Own the Gold layer for a given business domain (e.g., PLG funnel, marketing attribution, revenue, NPI/AWM): Design and continuously improve the curated, dimensional data models that downstream dashboards, Genie spaces, and ELT reporting depend on. Implement the canonical business logic behind your domain's core KPIs: Translate KPIs into governed, versioned metric marts that resolve "this number doesn't match" disputes for good. Build and curate the semantic layer and Genie spaces that power self-serve in your domain: Author the metadata, documentation, and prompt/metric definitions that let stakeholders query governed data in plain language through Claude and Databricks Genie. Own the metric dictionary for your domain: a single source of truth for what each metric means,

About the Role We're looking for a FinOps Data Engineer to help drive cost optimization and cloud financial governance across our AWS infrastructure and GCP footprint. You'll work cross-functionally with Engineering, Finance, and Product to find and ship savings, build the tooling necessary to maximize efficiency of every dollar spent in the cloud, and cultivate a culture of cost awareness across engineering teams. This role owns the data side of that mission: the models, pipelines, and analysis that make cost, usage, and margin numbers trustworthy across the company. This is a hands-on engineering role, not an analyst seat. You'll do the schlep work other teams don't have time for, digging into a bucket's access pattern, writing the dbt model or Python pipeline that ships the fix, building the cost-vs-revenue mart that answers a margin question once instead of every time, and chasing a number until it reconciles. Strong communication matters as much as technical depth, you'll regularly explain a savings case or a data model's implications to an engineering team, a finance stakeholder, and a leadership audience in the same week. What You'll Be Responsible For In this role, you'll: Find and ship savings across AWS and GCP: Analyze billing, usage, and cost trends to identify opportunities, rightsizing, storage lifecycle policies, data transfer, and spot/auto-scaling. Take ideas from identification through to a realized dollar figure, not just a recommendation. Build and maintain the FinOps data pipeline: Design and run the BigQuery/dbt models that turn raw billing and usage data (CUR, Storage Lens) into reconciled, trustworthy mart tables, the foundation everything else in FinOps is built on. Build cost-vs-revenue and customer segmentation models: Model unit economics and margin by product line and customer segment, and extend coverage as new products and segments come online. Apply data science to cost and usage data: Build forecasting models, detect anomalies statis
