About the Team OpenAI Finance is responsible for ensuring the organization is set up for success in pursuit of its mission. The Tax team is a vital part of OpenAI, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations while optimizing the company's tax position. We work closely with various departments to provide tax insights and strategies that support the company's growth and financial objectives. About the Role We're hiring a Senior Manager, International Indirect Tax Compliance to own and continuously improve our end-to-end international indirect tax compliance process. This role will be responsible for driving timely, accurate compliance; maintaining audit readiness; and building scalable processes that improve visibility, control, and efficiency across the Tax function. You will oversee obligations across VAT, GST, DST, and other indirect tax regimes as OpenAI continues to expand globally. You will partner closely with colleagues across Finance and external service providers to ensure that tax compliance is well-controlled, well-documented, and supported by reliable data and processes. The ideal candidate brings deep international indirect tax compliance experience, strong judgment, and a genuine passion for leveraging technology to streamline and improve compliance operations. A strong interest in automation, analytics, and process improvement will be important for success in this role. This role is based in Dublin, Ireland. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
