Location Details: At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely. Remote: This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings. About The Team.... Global Compute runs Optimised Hosting, GoDaddy's global platform for all customer hosting products. Squad R is the engineering team responsible for operating, scaling, and continuously improving the OpenStack-based clouds that power that platform. We treat reliability as an engineering problem: we automate toil away, we plan capacity ahead of demand, and we instrument everything so that we understand our systems before they surprise us. As an SRE III on the team, you'll be a senior technical contributor who others lean on for the hard problems. What you'll get to do... Operate and scale GoDaddy's cloud infrastructure, including our OpenStack-based hosting platform. You'll troubleshoot and improve services spanning compute, networking, and storage in large-scale production environments. Drive the OpenStack migration. Help move customer hosting workloads onto the platform safely — designing and executing migration tooling, validation, and rollback strategies that protect customer experience. Work within a large-scale global hosting environment supporting thousands of servers and customer workloads across multiple regions. Eliminate toil through automation. Build and maintain automation in Python and Puppet to replace manual operational work. Treat repeated manual effort as a bug to be fixed. Strengthen observability. Improve monitoring, alerting, and dashboards so that signal reaches the right engineer at the right time, and so that we can reason about system behavior from data. Participate in on-call and incident response. T

EMPLOYER IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP. Role Description This is a forward-deployed engineering role. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with mission heroes: the users, operators, and program engineers who run real workloads in real DoD environments. You'll help take UDS Data Capability from "deployable" to "running in production under classification." You will deploy, integrate, and operate our data stack in the mission hero's environment alongside senior engineers, then carry what you learn back into the product so the next engagement is easier. The scope of this work varies by engagement. Some programs require standing up a governed data platform to centralize sensor or operational data from known sources, where the problem is well-defined and the priority is building and shipping. Others involve consolidating data across hundreds of interconnected government systems of record with overlapping schemas, deeply interdependent data flows, and significant architectural complexity. You should be comfortable building independently against defined problems and growing into more ambiguous, complex engagements over time. Forward-deployed means aligned with the mission hero, not always on a plane. Most of the work is remote. You'll travel to sites when the engagement calls for it: initial standup, integration work, incident response, training and knowledge transfer. The rest of the time, you'll be on a video call or in a shared chat with that same mission hero. The role is defined by the relationship with the mission hero, not by where you sit. You are a data engineer who can build across the breadth of a data platform (storage, ingestion, streaming, governance, and access) and deliver working solutions in constrained, mission-critical environments. Responsibilities Deploy and configure UDS Data Capability in the mission hero's environment. Stand up the UDS Store (Iceberg, Rook/Ceph, pgvector, Postgres), wire up UDS Tran
Location: New York City or San Francisco - 4 days in office About the Role We are looking for a highly technical Senior Security Engineer who is passionate about protecting data across modern SaaS, cloud, endpoint, and analytics environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data security challenges through engineering, automation, and AI rather than relying solely on commercial tools. You will help build, scale, and continuously evolve Sigma’s data security capabilities across SaaS applications, cloud platforms, endpoints, collaboration tools, AI systems, and data warehouses. You will be joining a dynamic and highly technical Security Engineering team at Sigma. This is a hands-on engineering role for builders, innovators, and problem-solvers who want to create scalable security solutions that protect the organization's most critical asset - data. What You'll Do Design, build, and maintain security platforms, services, APIs, automation, and internal tooling that protect Sigma's data across cloud, SaaS, endpoint, and analytics environments. Develop scalable solutions for data discovery, classification, governance, access controls, monitoring, and protection using modern engineering practices and automation. Build and mature capabilities around CASB, DLP, DSPM, SSPM, insider risk, and data access governance to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, sharing, or exposure of sensitive information. Build and maintain DLP controls and tooling across multiple cloud, OS environments and decentralized datasets, implementing and tuning prevention capabilities that protect against sophisticated data security incidents. Drive automation across DLP engineering and operations by leveraging LLMs, agentic AI, and an automation-first mindset to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and scale data protection coverage. Design and implement security controls across SaaS applications, collaboration platforms, endpoints, and business-critical
Network & IT Support First Principles Engineer & Senior Team Member We’re hiring for our Network & IT Support team , but we’re not looking for someone whose idea of a good day is closing 20 tickets. In fact, we’d rather you prevent those 20 tickets from being created in the first place. Our team is small. Two people support close to 300 employees across Manila, Canada, and a 24-hour operation. That means we need engineers who think differently. When the same issue happens for the third time, we don't want you to become faster at fixing it. We want you to ask why it's happening at all - and eliminate it. When you see repetitive manual work, we expect you to ask whether it can be automated. When equipment, Wi-Fi, network infrastructure, endpoints, access, or security controls are likely to become problems, we want you checking them before employees discover the problem for you. When something breaks at 2 AM and you're the person on shift, we need you to be able to investigate incomplete information, form your own hypotheses, eliminate possibilities, make sound decisions, and restore operations without waiting for someone senior to tell you what to do. And when everything is working? Don't wait for the next ticket. Look at the environment and ask: What could fail next? What keeps repeating? What are we doing manually that shouldn't be manual? What can I simplify, automate, standardize, document, monitor, or permanently eliminate? That's what ownership means here. We're hiring at two levels: ✨ FPE / First Principles Engineer • This is our leadership-level individual contributor. We need someone who can look beyond individual incidents and own the health and direction of the entire function - identify systemic weaknesses, prioritize improvements, design better processes and architecture, automate repetitive work, establish standards, use data to find patterns, and make the engineers around them more effective. You shouldn't need someone to continuously
